Relationship problems bring overwhelming negative emotions, communication that doesn’t seem to reach the other person (or get the result that you want), and often involve repetitive interactions that never get anywhere.  In EFCT, you explore the emotions that seem to be triggered each time, examine the way you ask for what you need and the way you respond when your partner asks for his/her needs, and experiment with new communication styles and behaviors.  Our goal is to strengthen the bond between partners, focusing on the universal needs of safety, trust, and emotional contact.  The number of sessions is highly dependent upon the extent of the relationship conflict and the goals of the partners.
